The breath

The swift feeling you get when you jump off the cliff, the sound that passes through your ears how the wind runs past. Your stomach Jumps to your heart and that whole time you are in the air it feels like forever. The cold water engulfs your body from toe to head, as your breath is taken away. Your legs kick slowly to get to the bright hot sun above the cool refreshing lake. Your eyes open wide and you brush your hair back. You laugh and look up at the collosul jump you just risked your life for. You cheer for the next dare devil of a friend at the top of death it’s self. As she lunges off the point of the cliff she screams with an ecstatic rush of freedom. When it’s you in the water it seems like it took one second for her to fall. You ponder the feeling, the sight of the sparkling water, and the knowing that you almost died. And as you turn back to the boat you turn the other way climbing to the top of the death trap. Your heart pounds a thousand times per minute and you look down. You take a deep breath and jump. Your stomach jumps to your heart, and the whole time you are in the air it feels like forever…..
